As Muslims across the country celebrate this year's Eid-El-Kabir, we are reminded that it is a time to make sacrifices and show obedience just like the prophet Ibrahim.

Muslims and Nigerians are enjoined to use this Holy month to show love to one another, show loyalty and total commitment towards nation building just like Prophet Ibrahim who was obedient to the call of the Almighty Allah when he was asked to sacrifice his son Ismail.

On this year's Eid -El-Kabir, Nigerians must begin to make sacrifices and be willing to show compassion to the less privileged, the needy, the lowly heard and the destitute in the society.

Nigerians must begin to see ourselves as one irrespective of tribe, ethnicity, creed or political affiliation. We must understand that our destiny lies in Nigeria's destiny no matter our belief system and we have a responsibility to work towards the development of our nation.

As we celebrate the Eid-El-Kabir, we are enjoin to begin to show patriotism and make personal sacrifices for the greater good of our nation. It is only when we work together and do the right thing that we will be able to come out of this economic downturn that has befallen us as a nation.

Happy Eid -El-Kabir To All Muslim Ummah!
