Despite finishing 10 men against arch rivals Sevilla, La liga champions Barcelona cruise to a victory by 3-0, "5-0, aggregate". Javier Mascherano was force out of the game due to injury he sustained. Unfortunately for Luis Enrique, he has already used all his substitute but didn't have any negative effect on the La liga champions who trumped Sevilla 5-0 on aggregate at the Camp Nou.

Goals from Ardan Turan and Lionel Messi in the 10th, 46th and 55th minutes was enough for Barcelona as they are crowned the Spanish Super Cup winners. Ardan Turan gave the lead in the 10th minute where from an intricate build-up between Denis Suarez and Lionel Messi, which sprang Turan in the Sevilla penalty area where the Turkey international calmly slotted home a right-footed shot to open the scoring.

He later went ahead to double it in the 46th minute, scoring a brace for the night. Messi killed it off as he headed in the cross from Lucas Digne in the 55th minutes to make it 3-0.

The win means Luis Enrique has now won every trophy possible with Barcelona as manager.
