Recently, there have been many criticisms trailing the Buhari APC- led administration and his alleged quest and fight against corruption to which many Nigerians seems to be having mixed feelings about.

Some well meaning Nigerians, have argued amongst other things that Buhari's fight against corruption is rather lopsided, narrow minded as well as 'selectively' partial.

One aimed at crippling his PDP enemy party all in the guise of fighting corruption.

Of course, there were premises that substantiated the above claim!

President Buhari, during a speech at the commissioning of some projects in Zamfara state yesterday July 13th came forward to deny the above allegation and rather argued that, it is  the goal of his administration to recover Nigeria's stolen funds and to profitably channel them into a collective use in ensuring the development of our National economy and not to consciously Humiliate any individual in particular.

In his words:

“I also wish to reiterate to the people of Zamfara and to Nigerians in general, the commitment of this administration to restoring sanity in governance.

We shall continue to prosecute the war against corruption.

We do not wish or desire to humiliate or disgrace anybody, but we must recover stolen fund and put them to collective public use” .

Should Nigerians take Buhari seriously as argued above? Is Buhari's fight against corruption truly selfless or rather based on sentiments?

Your reactions are welcomed.
