Cross River foremost traditional ruler, His Royal Majesty Etim Edet, the Paramount Ruler of Bakassi LGA and Chair of Cross River State Traditional Rulers Council, couldn't help but take to his Facebook account to pen down the above striking statements.
The occupier of the traditional stool has three wishes as he sits on his father's throne: 'To sow…to project…and to rule'.
Etim wishes to be selfless (to sow); he also wishes to lead (to project influence); and he wishes to have a legacy as a leader of thought (to rule as King of Thought) —This traditional ruler must be quite an ambitious man.
But, the English are known for exclaiming 'if wishes were horses…' every one would own one. However, we pray that at the end of the life of this quintessential traditional ruler that it would be said that 'he sowed, he projected and he ruled', reminiscent of the Roman emperor's 'I came, I saw and I conquered'.
