"President Muhammadu Buhari is in London for a ten-day vacation. He is expected to be back in Nigeria on Sunday"
Presidency
It is no longer an open secret that the Head of State, President Muhammadu Buhari has had some set backs as it concerns his health.
The one that seems more pronounced is his hearing impediment which has necessitated his emergency travel to the white man's land (London) for quick attention.
According to the vice President's report, PMB, who though should have returned yesterday, thursday after his health checks, will however stay over till the weekend and hence should return back to Nigeria by Sunday, citeris paribus.
To quote the vice president Osinbanjo:
“The president will be back on Sunday. I spoke with him on Wednesday evening and I think it is just the best that he takes the weekend off,”
You would recall that, President Muhammadu Buhari left Nigeria on June 6, 2016 for health reasons, to wit, the undue ” ear infection” which was later diagnosed as " Meniere Disease" by medical experts.
Our earlier publication has done a detailed exegesis on the causes and consequence of the Disease that forced him to pull out of a series of engagements.
Negroidhaven garnered that the decision that president Buhari should go visit a medical specialist was only a precaution, one aimed at evading the resultant consequence of neglect.
In his last words to the media on Thursday in Abuja, vice President Osinbanjo informed that Buhari is in perfect health and ready to resume work by Monday morning.
Reactions:
Should Nigerians bet on what the vice president said?
Can he (Osinbanjo) be trusted with the health condition of Mr President rather than Aisha Buhari?
Nigerians have not forgotten in a hurry how the health condition of late president Yar'adua was so concealed and how it was hypocritically covered from the public knowledge, until it unfortunately deteriorated and consequently led to the death of that "good man" President Yar'adua!
Today there are still so many rumours about the seriousness of Buhari’s health condition.
We can only hope that the worst will not happen, as we wish him quick recovery and soundness on health.
