OBUDU —Reliable information reaching this press outfit suggest very strongly that the residents of the once embattled tourist city, Obudu, are beginning to experience respite from the nefarious activities of cultists, criminals and social miscreants.

This new development is coming on the heels of the posting and subsequent assumption into office of the new Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DPO) Obeten. It is reported by our source that at present a handful of measures have been initiated to instil calm in the tourists city particularly the partial restriction on visit to drinking joints, while the popular Okada drivers have until 10pm to do their business, beyond which they are not permitted to ply the road daily.

It was also garnered that the state government had donated additional hilux vans and no fewer than fifteen Mobile Police officers have been posted to resume duty in the city. 'Robbery and kidnapping is now history', mentioned one source.
