Yesterday 1 June, report has it that the Director of Calabar Urban Development Authority (CUDA), Mr Joemerry Ita, was seen personally supervising the clean up of the Edgerley Road by Abua Street axis in Calabar.
The state of waste management in the state especially the state capital, Calabar, is of the magnitude were the trio of the Commissioner for Environment, Mike Eraye, Executive Secretary of CUDA and Director, Waste Management Office are supposed to be seen on the streets of Calabar literally doing all it takes to fix the disposal of waste.
We want to believe this act by Director Ita isn't that of showmanship as the Executive Governor of the state had done that and shortly after then, Calabar descended into inexplicable dirt and stench!
