The above statement is attributed to the DG of Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr Betta Edu. This is coming at the news of fuel pump price hike from N86.50 to N145 as announced by the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Emmanuel Kachukwu on the eve of 11th May 2016.
The DG cannot imagine the sufferings Nigerians are going through. However, some analysts like Princewill Odidi and Emmanuel Undie have said, removing subsidy on fuel now, no doubt, has immediate and temporary sufferings but the benefits are worth while and enduring.
