The state chair of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ntufam John Okon, was yesterday nabbed by operatives of the EFCC. This has incited a handful of reactions, however the revelation of a public policy analyst and environmental activist, Ifere Paul, being a member of the media team of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2015 general elections are shocking and seems to incite into why the PDP Chair must have been whisked away for questioning by the anti-graft agency.

#DasuGate: The Cross River State Jaws
By Ifere Paul

'During the campaigns of 2015, the PDP Cross River State had a Women Retreat organised for First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan, wife of the then President GEJ.

I was running the Media arm of the Labour Party Campaign Organisation then. I got a call from the PDP National Campaign Committee that over 800million naira and two trailer trucks of PDP Campaign Rice was given to Cross River State. I was told that 300million was supposed to be given to Labour Party for adopting President GEJ as their presidential candidate. That 300million naira for Labour Party disappeared. It was never given to Labour Party.

Few weeks after the Ikom Women Rally, the presidential election was won by APC. The same person called me that information available at that time suggested that the 800million naira was never used as directed. Therefore, I was directed to prepare for the refunds of 300million naira given to our campaign organization at the Labour Party.

Of course, I told the voice on phone that the 300million and the 150bags of rice to Labour Party was never given in the first place.

I have remained skeptical about this whole 800million naira purportedly given to Liyel Imoke and wife, until yesterday when I read on the news that the PDP Chairman, Ntufam John Okon was arrested by the EFCC'.
