The Cross River State State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Chair, Dr. Barr. Stephen Odey, has been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) since Sunday 3 April 2016 on allegation of misappropriation of seven hundred million Naira (N700m) from SUBEB account.
Reliable information reaching Negroid Haven suggest that the embattled chair has returned the sum of three hundred million Naira (N300m) but officials of the anti graft agency are insisting that the money must be completed.
As at yesterday, rumours had it that the nabbed chair had been released.
