Today, 12 March, Dr.(Mrs.) Uduak Luke, the wife of the Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly (AISHA), Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke, is reported to have knelt down before her husband in appreciation to him in view of the former's support for her all through her academic pursuits.
The better half of the leading law maker, who is today, a recipient of the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy of the University of Calabar, genuflected before her husband in full glare of the public at the Convocation Ground of the 29th Convocation Ceremony of the University of Calabar, Calabar.
It caused a scene however, as her husband proceeded forward to solemnly embrace and lift her to her feet; this act of humility is worth emulating. Dr. Luke is said, by her associates, to be an easy-going, self-effacing, down-to-earth woman despite her being well placed in society.
Congratulations to Dr. Mrs. Uduak Luke on your induction into the 'Degree of Doctor of Philosophy' of the prestigious University of Calabar, Calabar.
