★I want to remind Cross Riverians in  case they have forgotten that the date for commissioning the Garment Factory is on the 1st of April. Will Ayade be around to commission it? Or is it just another April Fool's Joke?

I am not a pessimist. I am an optimist praying for the success of Governor Ben Ayade's projects.

March 20, 2016.

The above statement is attributed to Ifere Paul, a leading Social Commentator, who took to his Facebook page, to remind the Office of the Governor of the promise he made earlier this year. In the said promise, Governor Ben Ayade said that he will be commissioning the Cross River Garment and Textile Factory for use.

The negative slur in his statement above stems from the fact that Ayade had earlier on made promises of this nature which he failed to keep, example is the Monorail His Excellency promised to commission during December 2015. His Excellency didn't only fail to execute his promise, he had never given any explanation as to why he failed to keep that promise. Much earlier, at the beginning of his administration, the governor had announced that he will be celebrating his first 100 days in office as governor with the creation of 1000 jobs, but he failed, however, that did not stop him from further promising, during the commissioning of the 2015 edition of the Carnival Calabar Ayade, that unemployment will be a thing of the past at the end of his first tenure in 2019! I can continue further and further.

The same goes for other promises which His Excellency is more inclined to make and deliberately more disposed to not keeping. I am asking the governor to take a new leave and fulfil this 1st April Garment Factory commissioning promise as promised.
