Public Affairs Analyst Calls on Gov. Ayade to Industrialize Groundnuts In Bekwarra LGA

Cross River Born Public Affairs Analyst, Prince Thomas Abi jr., has expressed great worry over past administrations nonchalant attitude towards the call for the industrialization of the groundnut in Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State. Therefore, he called on Governor Benedict Ayade to industrialize the state by keying into the groundnut in Bekwarra Local Government Area.

In an information reaching Negroid Haven, Abi Jr said 'the groundnut in Bekwarra has the capacity to employ thousands of Cross Riverians if given the needed attention'. 

Further more, he described the groundnut in the area as one that can industrialize the State and move the her from a civil service state to a more industrialized State where the people  can key in and create wealth for themselves, boosting the revenue generation of the State.

'The groundnut in Bekwarra is one that must be given the needed attention if we must move the State forward', according to Abi Jr. He went further to warn that, 'The government of Cross River State must look around and generate wealth. The government must not close it's eyes against the groundnut in Bekwarra'.

Prince Abi, noted that the groundnut, when produced and packaged can be channelled into vegetable cooking oil, peanuts, peanut butter, flour, protein groundnut haulms and other forms of medication can be produced with groundnut. Stating that it's shell are used for making particle boards or fuel or filler in fertilizer and feed industry.

'The groundnut if properly produced and packaged can sustain the Cross River's economy. The groundnut can be finished into vegetable cooking oil, peanuts, peanuts butter, groundnut haulms and other forms of medication and protein. Let it also be known that the groundnut can also be exported in form of cash crops. It is only natural that the government of Cross River State encourages the local farmers to grow more buy giving them loans in order to grow more groundnut then buy from them during harvest period and finish the product into finished goods'.

He also called on the State government to look into other areas of opportunity capable of increasing the revenue by diversifying from the over reliance on the Federal government for allocation.
