Cross River State APC leaves much to be done. The Minister of Niger Delta seems so poised to run the party alone without involving others. There is a frowzy relationship between Pst Usani Uguru Usani with virtually all stake holders in APC.
He has refused to work with Chief Okoi Obono-obla for what ever reason I don't know. Could Usani be making himself the only cock that crows in Ugep politics? Usani has been rumoured as not ready for any talk with the National Vice Chairman South South Prince Hillard Eta. He is rumoured not to acknowledge Mary Ekpere nor work with her as a stakeholder and BOT member representing APC South South women. Usani Uguru Usani rumoured not to recognize any body that decamped from Labour Party to APC. Usani Uguru Usani seems not ready to incorporate the likes of Distinguished Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba led factions that decamped to APC from both labour party and PDP
The failure of APC in the Yakurr II state constituency election has been blamed on Usani Uguru Usani in recent times because his moves was more to build personal structures rather than incorporate others in harmonizing interest of APC Cross River State stakeholders. The blame on His Excellency Chief Clement Ebri for supporting the Labour Party candidate may not be unconnected to Usani's one man approach to issues in Cross River State APC.
Instead of building broken fences, Pst Usani Uguru Usani is rumoured to be leading a team to petition Chief Clement Ebri for what he terms anti-party activities. The minister must not do this to us, he must be seen as a unifying voice instead of a voice of discord and acrimony. APC Cross River State is bigger than Usani Uguru Usani's personal interest. The party belongs to all and the Minister of Niger Delta must know and appreciate this. Let there be love and Usani must be a symbol of love and not hate.
I urge Usani Uguru Usani to abandon any move to petition Chief Clement Ebri for what he terms as anti party activities. Could Usani Uguru Usani moves be interpreted to be fighting Chief Clement Ebri too to be the lone voice in Yakurr politics? This will set a very bad history for nascent APC in the state. The success of APC in Cross River State lies in eschewing our differences and working together.
