Professor Nwabueze, a revered and renowned Lawyer who also seats as the President of the Patriots, an association of Elder statesmen in Nigeria which is comparable to those of the Logical positivists of modern philosophical thinkers,to wit: Vienna circle.
He (prof. Nwabueze) stated categorically that President Buhari lacks what it takes to rule Nigeria.
According to him, Nigeria is a complex Nation and hence requires a leader with a very high intellectual capacity and capability to maneuver through the complexity she is ladened with.
Replying to a question about Mr President not being prepared lead the Nation, the erudite and distinguished professor informs in what looks like an inductivo- deductive argument which to my mind is thought provoking as well as breath taking that Buhari is 'intellectually leprous' to rule Nigeria.
Below were the words of prof. Ben Nwabueze as extracted in an interview with Daily Sun:
"I do not think that it is a question of not being prepared. Don't forget that the 2015 election was his (Buhari's) fourth time of contesting and making an attempt to become President.
He tried to be president for 12 years. So, he had more than enough time to prepare himself if he had the capacity. So, it is not that he was not prepared.
The fact is that he lacks the capacity to govern as the problems are beyond him.
Even if you give him 20 years to prepare, it would still be beyond his capacity. Nigeria is a very complex country.
I have told you before, that we have 389 ethnic nationalities. The complexities and the issues involved in ruling such a country are huge.
Leading such a complex country is an intellectual issue and Buhari does not have the intellectual capacity to comprehend what it means to govern the country"
