The story of political witch hunt in Cross River State seems not to abate. With the Ayade's government, political witch hunt has been stretched to the level of mediocrity and a caricature of his government.

I read with pain an article badly written and published by Sen. Ayade Benedict's media aide Eval Asikong in this words: "The Paramount Ruler HRH UTI J D. AGBA TO BE DETHRONE for refusing to tackle the problem of killing and Robbery in Obudu Local Government Area and playing politics favoring his son and his immediate family must be dethroned.
As a result of this, the people of Obudu are crying for his removal…

Besides the fact that the article is badly written, it also embarrasses the Office of the Governor because it came from the governor's aides and therefore attributable to government.

Come to think of it, why are the aides of the governor manifesting such obvious ineptitude. Even at that, must Ayade's government always celebrate their foolery in public? What concerns the Paramount ruler with the issues of security in a community that is a direct constituency of the governor? Is Ayade's media aide so foolish to proclaim the ineptitude of his boss to tackle security challenges in a peaceful state like Cross River? What is the governor doing with his security votes? Has the Paramount ruler been linked with any allegation or sponsorship of violence? Could a Paramount ruler be said to be the Chief security officer of Obudu? How many Paramount ruler have been dethroned in the north for Boko  Haram insurgence at least to serve as a precedent?

The Ayade's government must stop being childish and witch hunting. The fact that Prince J.D Agba the son of the Paramount ruler has moved to APC should never be a reason for the agitation towards dethroning his father the Paramount ruler.

It could be recalled that Ayade had earlier sack the brother of Chief Okoi Obono-obla just because Obla has always constructively engaged him. This political witch hunt of APC by the Ayade's government must stop
