Dear Jones Williams:
I sympathize with you over the nullification of your election by the court of law.

You are my friend and ordinarily we tend to lend our support to the people we know. You're also a great guy I've come to know over the years. But your downfall may be strongly correlated against your association with an evil man in Yakurr politics known to be a strong influence in your political decisions, and determined to impose his will against the people's will.

This letter is prompted by the result of my recent inquiry into the political undertakings in Yakurr II constituency following the nullification of your election.

The people of Yakurr II want a change, which means you are not their best option. The people are also willing to defend their votes. If they vote you, good luck! But if they vote Captain Eno, whom they believe represent their collective interest, please take it in good faith and step out of the scene with respect and integrity.

Our politics has been marred with bloodshed, and we know the source of this madness. In the last election, the greed for power and the determination to win or win even at the expense of human life, led to bloodshed in Ekori, Mkpani and Agoi communities.

But no man's ambition is worth the blood of any Yakurr brother. Even the most powerful man in Nigeria in 2015, Goodluck Jonathan, knew that his ambition was not worth the blood of any Nigerian. He conceded defeat and was decorated as 'hero of democracy.'

My dear friend, do not listen to evil advise. And the craze for power should not drive you to violence. Play civil. Play decent.

Remember that even the least important man in society is created by God to fulfill a purpose on earth. Violence is evil but peace is a virtue that defies the evil nature in man. Prune your swords into ploughshare because in a democracy leaders are made, not imposed.

My greatest wish is that you present your argument to the people and let their decision determine the outcome of the election.

Good luck to you but I stand with the people.

Sincerely,
Obasesam Okoi
