The All Progressive Congress (APC) is ready to welcome all progressive minded individuals and and groups into it fold on the 13th of February, 2016.
The event which is slated to hold at the Calabar Stadium at 9am, will have former party bigwigs of the People Democratic Party (PDP), crossing over to the APC.
Among the decampees are former governor of CRS, HE Clement Ebri, former Senate Leader Victor Ndoma Egba (Distinguished), former governorship candidate, HE Ntufam Fidelis Ugbo, former governorship candidate of the PDP, Prince Goddy Jedy Agba, Sen Prince Bassey Otu, Hon Paul Adah, Hon Venatius Ikem, Brigadier General Enang Ukagu, Hon Alex Egbona, Hon Victor Abang, Hon Efoli Esuku, and host of others.
The state leadership of the APC led by Mr John Ochala, (Ag. Chairman) will be Joined by the National leadership led by John Oyegun( the National Chairman) to receive the new members into the party.
The Jagaban of APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu will be present among other national leaders like the National Chairman of APC, John Oyegun, the Honorable Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Hon Pastor U.U Usani, the Lion of South-South, Honorable Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, etc.
The event which promises to be one of its kind, will see APC as the strongest party in Cross River State. Already, fears have been sent into the spines of the PDP in Obudu as most of their members have decamped to the APC with Paul Adah, Jedy Agba, and Venatius Ikem.
In Ikom, the former senate leader Victor Ndoma Egba will lead the packs of decampees to the APC. The APC in Yakurr will be led by former governor HE Clement Ebri and HE Oden Inah.
Whether the PDP agree or not, the decampees have made up their minds to offset the leadership of the PDP come 2019. The race for the who is who in Cross River State has began.
