The policy of low transport fare through the assumption of 'Ayade Motors' is a policy which is not smart at all.

It is a business killer for other transporters who operate the Calabar-Obudu Road.

A careful evaluation of different small and medium size road transport companies has shown abysmal performance since the reintroduction of the "Ayade Low Fare Scheme" of 1000 naira only to Obudu from Calabar.

Commuters have left other road transport operators to Ayade Motors. This is a complete minus on government willingness to encourage and create more small and medium size enterprises as was promised in the campaigns.

This policy is going to affect fair playing ground for competitiveness because of the subsidies giving to Ayade Motors as against other operators.

Policy Questions:
*Is the government going to provide the cost of the subsidies to Ayade Motors?

*Will government officials be willing to dare the governor by enforcing government policies on Ayade Motors?

*Would such officials be treated or allowed to carry out their duties without interference from the governor's office?

*Or are we going to see a termination of employment of any government officer willing to enforce the law on Ayade Motors?

For me, such policy directive is skewed, and sure, is a conflict of interest.
