QUESTIONS FOR US
(To Glen Frey: 1948-2016)
And a conspiracy of silence
Attend the recent outbreak
Of the Lasa fever epidemic.
Is the infrastructure in place?
Are the facilities in Nigeria?
Are the requisite personnel available?
We need to still ask a lot of questions.
Any nation that does not innovate,
Must close down.
We must cultivate the habit
Of solving our problems by ourselves,
Failing which our dreams will leave our shelves.
We should make the words in your hearts,
To move in the direction of positive action.
And work out the reality of our dreams –
People don’t run out of dreams,
They run out of time.
