Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie could be set for a move to Turkish side Fernabahce who are looking to bolster their attacking line up.
Fernabahce has already secure the services of Manchester United winger Nani in a £4.5m deal, after the winger seemed surplus to requirement at Old Trafford.
According to report from Sky Sport; Fenerbahce director Giuliano Terraneo is in talks with van Persie’s representatives in London, and a possible move to the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium could leave Manchester depleted in attack, as they allowed unimpressive Falcao leaves back to Monaco where he has presently signed a one year loan deal with rivals Chelsea.
Robin Van Persie in his first season at Man United scored a stunning 30 league goals which helped Man United to winning the League in Sir Alex Ferguson’s last year in charge at Old Trafford. Subsequent seasons have seen him lost his goal scoring touches and moment of brilliance in front of goal. Last season he scored 10 league goals and his play time was largely limited as he was plague by series of injuries that have made him look at of sort every time he features in his return from injury.
If Van Persie eventually leaves, it will leave Man United to heavily rely on already captured Memphis Depay, and versatile Wayne Rooney in attack.
It could be a cool deal for Manchester United to cash in on the 31 year old Dutch striker who has one year left on his contract. And Man United not granting him a new contract yet could mean plans to offload him is imminent. And with Europe tournament coming up next year, it woulf be a nice move for Van Persie to have more playing time and rediscover his form.
