CROSS RIVER DEPUTY SPEAKER SALUTES MUSLIM, URGES SUPPORT, UNDERSTANDING
The Deputy Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Joseph Bassey has extended his felicitation to all Cross Riverians especially the Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year's Eid-El- Fitr celebrations.
He has appealed for the continued support and understanding of all Muslim Ummah and the People of the State, saying that the present Cross River State House of Assembly is committed towards transforming the State for all and sundry.
The Deputy Speaker has urged Cross Riverians to cease the opportunity of the Eid-El-Fitr holiday to reflect on the ideals and virtues of peace, harmony, brotherly love, selflessness, tolerance, honesty, fairness, justice and equity taught by Prophet Mohammed.
He noted that Muslim Ummah in the State should continue to live in peace and support the administration of Senator Prof. Ben Ayade and the Rt. Hon John Gaul Lebo led House of Assembly, in transforming the State.
He expressed great delight in the signature projects of Governor Ayade, saying if executed would boost the economic fortunes of the State.
