Neymar was red carded after the final whistle of Colombia game and was initially set to missed the final group game with Venezuela.
The red card resulted after Neymar kicked a ball at Colombia's Pablo Armero in frustration after the final whistle before appearing to head butt another player who confronted him. He has previously been shown a yellow card in the game.
Initially, the miss was to be the last group game to Venezuela but the South American Football Confederation after review of the case, increased the punishment to four games ban, which will see him miss the rest of the tournament's games.
Colombia's Carlos Becca who was also red carded is suspended for two matches. Both players though have the right to appeal.
It was the same Colombia that ended Neymar's involvement last year World Cup after he was kneed in the back by Colombia's Juan Zuniga that resulted in a broken bone in his spine.
Neymar should be concern about his short temper as we have seen him display also in La Liga.
