After England lost their opening match against Portugal, they knew a second defeat would be disastrous for them.
England had to keep faith in the game as they build their confidence momentarily into the game. It paid off as Man United Jesse Lingard one bounce, off his chest and then a powerful shot into the net from the edge of the area in the 85th minute of the game gave England a narrow 1-0 lead over Sweden.
Another outstanding performance from England is Arsenal full back Carl Jenkinson's brilliant crosses into the penalty area of Sweden but in several occasion there was no one to convert the crosses.
England are now levelled three points together with Sweden and Portugal who is yet to play against Italy.
