SPORT: Argentina Top Group With Victory Over Jamaica

A game that saw Argentina winning with a lone goal from Higuan, with Lionel Messi making His 100th mark appearances for Argentina who are considered the title favourites, top their group with seven point, two point ahead of Paraguay who drew 1-1 with defending Champions Uruguay.

Argentina who are seeking to end a 22 year drought of trophy previously has won the last four Copa Americas played in Chile, the last in 1991. The World Cup finalists hosted the South American tournament in 2011, but Messi and his teammates were eliminated by eventual champion Uruguay in the quarterfinals. Argentina lost consecutive Copa America finals to Brazil in 2004 and 2007.

Lionel Messi was below par compare to his usual performance. Though he created some chances, His most significant chance came in the 56th, when his lob shot from the top of the area was barely stopped by the outstretched arms of Jamaica goalkeeper Dwayne Miller.

Uruguay qualify as one of the best-finisher with-place finisher with four points.
