Not until recently, the challenges that have plagued planet earth amongst which the Human race is but a fractional part cannot be swept under the carpets. Unfortunately, such challenges seems to have elluded our expatriates with particular mention of those in the health sector of our individual Economy.
You will recall that several years back a respiratory viral pandemic known as the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), for short, did hit Japan and other neighbouring countries of the world. This viral epidemic was known to claim lives in minute-seconds just by inhalation. As an air borne disease, it claimed both human and animal lives in their innumerable numbers.
All efforts made by microbiologists and health experts to curb the ravaging virus proved almost futile. Nonetheless, the virus having completed her assignment disappeared into thin air.
Thereafter, came the Ebola virus which in turn also claimed several lives as though she came to unleash retribution for the sins of human kind.
Without much ado, a twin evil to the likes of Sars is here. It is conceptualised as Middle East Respiratory syndrome(MERS).
It is seen to have emanated from the Middle eastern countries.
Presently It is spreading like wild fire, claiming lives and according to reports from our source, it has already claimed over 7tens(70) lives just within the past few days of its discovery.
In Japan for instance more than 80 lives have been claimed by the virus.
Death toll from this viral respiratory syndrome is increasing arithmetically each hour of the day across the Middle Eastern countries to be specific as more and more people are contracting the virus just by taking in air.
However, the World Health Organisation are presently doing their homework to contain the spread of the virus and also to possibly find an antidote for the disease.
