The 2015 Batch A Prospective Corps members of the National Youth Service Corps Scheme(NYSC) in Ekiti State have been finally inaugurated into the Scheme to legitimise their national service to their father land.
His Excellency the Governor of Ekiti state was billed to officially inaugurate the 2,045 corps members deployed to the state, but was unavoidably absent. However, he was ably represented by the Deputy Governor, HE Dr. K. O. Olusola, who arrived the venue of the Permanent Site of the NYSC Camp located at Ise Oru in Ekiti at 10:33am.
Sequel to his reception by the recitation of the National Anthem by the Corps members, the State Chief Justice in the person of Hon. Justice administered the oath of inauguration on the 2045 prospective corps members by which they cease to be prospective corps members but 2015 Batch A corps members of the NYSC at precisely 11:17am.
Before the prospective corps members were inaugurated by the state chief Justice and while the parade was on, a female corps member standing at the front slumped but was promptly responded to by the First Aid Corp members there present.
By this inauguration, hitherto prospective corp members were officially referred to as 'Gentlemen Corp members'. Sequel to the inauguration, 10 Corp members were appointed Platoon leaders by the scheme.
Negroid Haven congratulate all gentlemen Corp members of 2015 Batch A NYSC deployed to Ekiti State as well as all gentlemen Corp members deployed variously to the 36 states of the federation and the FCT wishing them a successful service year in Ekiti and the nation at large.
