The National union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and National Gas Workers (NUPENG) has called off the strike rising from the meeting held by the union and representatives of the government, NNPC and some oil companies.
A consensus was reached at the meeting by the federal ministry of Labour and Productivity that no union members involved in the strike would be punished for being involved in the strike.
In attendance were permanent secretaries in the federal ministry of Labour and Productivity and Petroleum Resources as well as representatives of NNPC, NNRA, AMCON, MOBIL, OGFTZA,DPR, DSS, TOTAL E & P and NAOC.
